Established in July 2009 by Adrian Green and Alex Norman, Convivium Singers is a group of cathedral and college musicians who perform a wide variety of vocal and choral music. They currently comprise singers from The Choirs of Royal Holloway College, Portsmouth Cathedral and York Minster, along with members of music conservatoires in London and Birmingham. The group aims to provide an adaptable ensemble of singers for hire to meet any occasion in (almost!) any location. Convivium’s members include soloists who specialise in opera, music theatre, early music, English song and jazz. From Renaissance masters to contemporary composers, and from madrigals to popular arrangements, the group has a wide repertoire. It also participates in church and cathedral services.
The group has annual engagements in festivals across the UK, with celebrities and well-known musicians including Alan Titchmarsh (Broadcaster), David Price (Master of Choristers, Portsmouth Cathedral), and Rev. Stephen Shipley (Producer, BBC Radio ‘Acts of Worship’).
